Doctor Who stamps coming to the U.K.

January 8, 2013 in Journal

DoctorWhoStamp-10 DoctorWhoStamp-04For the U.K. participants, the Royal Mail has something very special coming out that I think you might be interested in. Doctor Who stamps. Oh yes. All eleven of the doctors get their own first class stamp and four of the villains are on second class.

Now, I’m not going to say that I’m a giant geeky fan, just because I manage to put Doctor Who cameos into all four of my Regency novels but…. this is cooler than bow ties. Why am I not in the UK?

Alas, they aren’t available until March, but I’m sure that the Doctor will still be able to get your mail delivered in a timely fashion.

  1. I *so* want these stamps!! I have followed Dr Who for some 35 years and would likely frame them just to look at. :-) Although we have great stamps here in the US (the latest Love stamp for example), the UK has had some fabulous stamps over the last couple of years since I started noticing but this beats them all. I may have to cultivate a new British correspondent! LOL!! Maybe we could do a group-buy somehow?!

  2. Oh, I want these, too! I’d be willing to pay someone to buy me a couple of each and mail them to me. :)

Oh this is so great and I just happen to have a friend in the UK, I’ll have to check when these are available.
    Thanks for posting this.

  4. I think I will have to save up!!!
I went to a Media museum recently and they have a Dalek on display, with sink plunger and whisk/mixer thing from a food mixer machine.

  5. That is so cool. I want some!

  6. I am going to have to find a way to get a few sheets of each too. These are sooooooo cool.

The only sad part is that I won’t be able to use them on outgoing mail!

  7. NOT FAIR!!! I love The Doctor and want all of the stamps too!!!

  8. :O I want them all! :)

  9. Do you all have a favourite Doctor?

  10. In the original series, I was a Tom Baker girl. In the new series, it’s David Tennant for me.

  11. Oh, oh! WHY don’t I live in the UK? Love these.

My childhood Doctor was Four. Of NewWho, Ten is definitely my Doctor.
