I know some of you have mail blogs. I figured it would be cool to document my Month of Letters, so I started a blog today.

    My blog is http://themodestpeacock.blogspot.com.

I am not sure if I will document my LetterMo or not.  I’ve just gotten a divorce and am, for the moment, a bit pickier about what I post for the world to read than I used to be.  On the one hand, it’s no one’s business how much I spend in postage or how often I send letters, so on that side, I want to blog about it.  On the other hand, I don’t want certain people keeping tabs on my life and what I’m doing with my time and income, so I would rather either not post about it this time around, OR just do one sort of “summary” post with the end result.  Anyone have any advice on my utter inability to make a decision?? LOL 🙂

I won’t blog specifically about LetterMo, but I do blog daily about postcards on Orphaned Postcard Project. And, I tag my Twitter posts with #lettermo when I’m sending it, and there are always photos.

I am quietly writing letters, every day, every month.

@themodestpeacock I understand where you’re coming from. Does your ex know the blog address? If so, maybe start another blog just for LetterMo, something anonymous. You can always just post about it here and use this site for blogging purposes. 🙂

It’s not strictly a mail blog though.  I’ve been debating if I want to start a separate one or not.  Decisions, decisions…..I also have a photography blog that I haven’t kept up with so that’s why I figured I’d just blog about my mail on my regular blog when I felt like it so I don’t feel like I’m being pulled in too many directions.

I think they do, but I don’t really want to set up anything new… I’m thinking about creating a Flikr album for LetterMo and putting a link to it on my blog page about letter writing.  I doubt anyone wishing me any ill will would bother to do all that link chasing.  Then at least I’d feel like it wasn’t so in the open and I could link it here. 🙂

*amendment: I know I said I didn’t want to set up anything new and then mentioned creating something- I meant in the form of a whole new blog to sign into.  I am already “2 people” with a blog called Lucy Jane’s Writing Desk (http://www.lucyjanepennybright.blogspot.com).  I already have a Flikr for The Modest Peacock and making an album would be faster than creating a blog.  I hope I’m more logical and articulate when I write my letters this month!  I think I need to crash in bed early! LOL

I wouldn’t  worry about starting a blog, just have fun with the letter writing, a wonderful environment where you can communicate with others, free of prying eyes, you chose to share what you are comfortable sharing.  And you can post about it here on the Month of Letters pages, I’m sure many of us will.
    Just enjoy yourself.

I have a blog: http://scribblingsarah.blogspot.com/.  It’s not all mail relate, it’s more a combination of mail/decorating.  I haven’t been doing it much for a year, but have been getting back into it lately and hope to post some about the my Month of Letters progress and maybe some photos.

I love writing letters to my family and friends, I blog about it at: http://scribblingsarah.blogspot.com

You can check me out at :  Lostartrevived.blogspot.com .  It is a blog on letter writing and mail art.    I started it about a year ago but have only recently tried to keep up with it.      I am currently trying to work on several future posts to keep the interest going…

I am also   a busy mom of many trying to pass on the love of connecting with  the next generation.  I will soon be posting some fun projects for children  to get involved.

To TheModestPeacock: I think if you have any uncomfortable feelings about blogging, you should just pay attention to that and not bother with it. Or keep it strictly anonymous until things settle down and you are comfortable with how people react to you. Those little nagging doubts have value.

I have a blog, it can be found here: http://spazmoviebuzz.blogspot.com/.  I started it to write about movies that I see and it has kind of gone in some other directions. I just kind of write what I want now. I don’t think I’ll change the name though because I will write about movies. But feel free to check it out.

That’s the only ‘drawback’, isn’t it!   You pop onto the computer ”just for half an hour” and two hours (or more!*blush*) later you’re still reading!

I’ve got a blog which I was originally inspired to start so I could keep tabs on my incoming and outgoing mail and also chronicle what George & Suzi were getting up to.   We’ve been fostering old cats for three years now and I wish I’d started a blog right from the start as we’ve shared our life with so many wonderful characters.  Which reminds me…..I really SHOULD do a post about the cats who came along before George & Suzi….I meant to weeks ago but never got around to it!   *slaps wrist*

Perhaps I should change the name to An Organised Life (ha!) as this coming month WILL be fun but also need some discipline…..and March will be busy too as we are getting a puppy.

Spending ages reading them?  I’ve just spent most of the morning (and early afternoon!) updating my blog with posts about my oldies LOL     I’m halfway through yaaayyyy.    The first post I was working on – typed it out and was just on the point of pressing ‘post’ and George jumped up onto my desk and his paw deleted it so I had to start all over again!!!!    Little monkeys!!!!

Hi, I have a blog. Not exclusively a letter writing blog. I am toooooo scattered to do just one thing. It started to showcase paper crafting but I have added my quilting, letter writing, calligraphy, zentangle and my 3rd grade classroom to it. I will write about Month of Letters but …. who knows where the month will take me.

I too have a blog. I don’t usually post anything about lettermo there, other than letting people know that I’m participating. I have been really bad at posting anything on there lately. But I do know that sometimes it’s easier to write to a new person if you have more info than a one paragraph profile of the person. So, maybe, I’ll get a few more people interested or some that may find we have nothing in common.

My blog is http://www.mypredilections.com. I’m planning to post about my letter-writing experience this month as I go along and as thoughts I want to share come to me. My blog is just a little bit of everything–crafts, photography, recipes, thoughts, motherhood, etc. It isn’t strictly devoted to letter writing but I am excited to feature that a little more this month. I’d love it if you checked it out!

Here’s the post I wrote for today introducing my readers to A Month of Letters and spreading the word.

I have a book blog, and I was planning on just sharing information on my Letter Month progress there — I do talk about letters and writing along with my regular book posts, especially with my new reading challenge based on letters and epistolary fiction this year! But really it’s mostly about books 🙂 My first day of Letter Month, and a visit to a special post office, is documented there, however!

I just started a new blog for pen and paper (mostly pens) reviews and thought I’d share it here before everyone moves on to bigger and better things. I do hope we don’t all move on, though, I’ve been enjoying this forum! It’s been fun to read the posts and see what everyone is up to in between letters and postcards.  But I digress. The blog address is Addicted to Pens and Paper if you would like to visit and maybe even leave a comment.

I had a reviews page on my card making blog but I couldn’t figure out how to configure that page so that people could subscribe, and I thank those of you who left a kind word or two there, so I just created a new blog. Sometimes I take the easy way out.

LOL!  I don’t know, Jackie- Things are so topsy turvy in my daily life that sometimes you may think my letter is “junk mail”. 😉

Never, I promise! I have those days, too, and I have trashed a couple of letters I started because in reading them over they didn’t even make sense to me.

I was reading a few blogs recently (from here and elsewhere), and looking at pictures on flickr of mailart and such…. when I was astounded at the number of pictures showing street addresses of people who did not write that blog entry or upload that picture. I come across other pictures where the address is obscured…. this is what I do, and am dismayed some others don’t do the same…

I have tried to obscure the address creatively, but if you see any that I may have missed, PLEASE let me know Mia.

I’m with you on that and like Deb, I always try to make sure I’ve obscured all addresses of my mail (even my own =D) when I post the photos on my blog.  On the rare occasions when I have missed one, I make sure to delete and re-post it with the address covered.   And I’m learning to put my return address on the backs of my outgoing envelopes just to be safe.

Good idea. I think I will post envelopes BEFORE addressing them!
