Reacquainting myself with the posting options here in the forum. This is a nice article from StampNewsNow about new postage stamps to be released this year by USPS.

Thank you for sharing this! My post office is completely out of the previous global forever stamps (so they sell me stamps which add up to a global stamp). I can’t wait until the new ones come out!! They look great!

I have to go to a larger post office in town to get the global stamps, as my favorite post office never has them.

Jenny – order them online and have them shipped to your door! 🙂 A lot easier, and you have anything the USPS sells nationally to pick from that way.

My smallish town post office was out this morning. I’m glad online ordering was mentioned. I’m going to give it a try!

I normally order online either direct from them or through their Ebay account-so fun to get more options…my local post office doesn’t even carry post card stamps. Now I’m getting into getting vintage stamps on Ebay, so am not getting as many of the new ones, but some of the new ones are just too nice to pass up!

I love writing letters to my family and friends, I blog about it at: http://scribblingsarah.blogspot.com

I’m looking forward to the new “global forever” stamps with the moon.

If you don’t like the “global forever” stamps available to you, the current (as of Jan 2016) rates mean you can use any two “forever” stamps plus one “additional ounce” ie penguin stamp to send international. Or you can use any one “forever” stamp plus one of the three available “two ounce” stamps OR the “non-machineable surcharge” stamp.

I don’t think this math is guaranteed to stay in place through the next rate change, whenever that happens, but it works right now (January/February 2016) where “global forever” = $1.20, “forever” = 0.49, “additional ounce” = 0.22, “two ounce” = 0.71, and “non-machineable surchage” = 0.71.

The moon and planets look good, so do the Star Trek ones.

I went to three POs today and non had the Itn’l moon stamp. Looks like I will be ordering online again. Any day now I should be getting some custom rubber stamps I designed. So excited to use then for LM2016.

Free download. I’m a little nutty about stamps. I want my envelopes to display a postage stamp, not a metered sticker. Thus, if I have room on my envelope I will sometimes choose several stamps to make up the postage. I’ve created a sheet of just a few common combinations I use that might be helpful to you. Find it here. —Keep Scribbling!

The new international stamps have not yet been released.

American Philatelic Society has some more details. Today saw some forever (49c) stamps released. Next month sometime will see the Moon global forever issued.

Yes, when I got home I looked it up. The release dates were hard to come by at this time, so thank you for the link! I have to say, when the stamps are available in just large rolls forcing you to spend over $1,000 it can be off-putting. I realize they figure it’s audience must be corporate, but it would be nice for those to be available in sheets also. Well the year just started, let’s see how it will come off.

Thanks so much for all the info, nice to have pics to go with. Love the global Moon stamps, will order some as soon as they’re issued. Also like the new 1 cent, 5 cent and 10 cent definitive stamps – it was time for a change. Of course I saw other stamps I’d like to have too, I’m a sucker pretty stamps. Just got my Botanical Art stamps today – yay!
