Feb. 11 – Three Cards and Letters to Family

Today I sent three cards and letters, all of them to family members:

A Valentine’s Day card to my mother in Williamsburg, Virginia.
A Get Well Soon card to my father in northern California.
A birthday card and letter to my older sister, also in northern California. (Actually, at the moment we are the same age, but she will be older again on her birthday next week. We were born in February and December of the same year, so we’re twins for ten months of each year!) The card shows the 1902 Klimt painting Portrait of Emilie Floge.

Feb. 10 – Two International Cards

On the tenth day of LetterMo I sent two Postcrossing cards:

To China, a superhero robot card.
To The Netherlands, a card with a reproduction of the cover of an old pulp fiction novel called Musk, Hashish, and Blood.

Feb. 8 – Letter to Pennsylvania

Just one letter sent on Saturday, February 8. This one went to a LetterMo letter writer in Pennsylvania.

Eleven postcards and one large envelope with long letter and a zine. Got them hand-cancelled at the local postal outlet and the clerks got a good chuckle from the profusion of vintage small-denomination stamps.

Last night I dropped into the mailbox 3 big envelopes with zines inside, and 2 postcards.

I’ve been falling behind with the correspondence, and have well and truly dropped the ball with logging things. I am unconcerned about this, as the mailing’s the real thing, the website activity’s just an adjunct.

Today I posted 3 Valentines hand-folded envelopes sealed with wax. My hands are a glorious mess of ink, soot and dye.

Sent a card yesterday but wasn’t able to access from home as I don’t recall my username and password apparently.
