A collaborative blog post
Thank you to everyone who contributed to make today’s post!
I searched for local stationery stores and artists in Toronto to support through my purchases of quality paper goods and other ephemera. I use themed stationery, nice washi tape, customised ink stamps and coloured gel pens to create visual consistency. I also try to match the stamps I use for my letters with colour pallete of the stationery I’ve written on, so it adds to the overall appearance of my correspondence.

I collage a lot of papers and envelopes. – purplecar
I’m not very artistic, so I don’t decorate my stationary in any way. I like to choose cute, fun, or beautiful paper to write on. I also write using a fountain pen with a stub nib (which makes your handwriting look much fancier without any extra effort) and using fun inks.

I like colored envie with rétro calligraphied address. But my favorite are always postcard.
I use my handmade cards, and if I need more space, I use regular unattractive writing paper. I write legibly using my trusty refillable ballpoint pen with black ink.

I’m not artistic at all, so for me it’s usually stickers and washi tape – Michelle Risner
I try to keep my writing unrushed. I have nice handwriting but when I am writing too fast I misspell, use poor word choices and that makes for a messy letter. I used to highly decorate my letters but found that finding time to do that gave me too much opportunity to procrastinate so now I stay simple.

Washi tape, highlighters, stickers! Sometimes I theme my letter with like materials, sometimes it’s random, chaotic “whatever Caitlin has in her bag” decor. – Caitlin Cordova
Besides washi tape and stickers, I like to find different stationary, which is getting harder! Also I try to use my best handwriting, although sometimes my brain moves faster than my hand and it gets a bit sloppy.
