Tell us about yourself — the real stuff.
This is your chance to be more than a name and address. Don’t just repeat what’s already on your profile — we’re looking for the details that live beyond it: your quirks, what makes you laugh, the thing you can’t stop talking about, the moment writing a letter gave you an actual buzz. Skip the short, quick answers — dig in a little. What do you collect, obsess over, or secretly love that most people don’t know? What’s your writing ritual, your favorite stamp, your worst pen-pal disaster? The more specific and personal, the better the read.
And send photos — 3 is ideal! A picture of you, your writing desk, your dog interrupting your letter-writing, whatever feels like you. Photos are what turn an interview into something people actually want to read.
A few things to know before you start:
- Submitting this form does not guarantee your profile will be published. We receive more submissions than we can feature in any single issue, so it may take several months before your profile appears — or in some cases it may not be selected at all.
- Profiles that include more detailed answers are more likely to be selected to be published. It is easier to trim down rather than add more to a submission.
- If selected, our editor may make small edits for clarity or length. We’ll share any changes with you before publication so there are no surprises.
- Your profile will link back to your LetterMo member page, so please make sure that page is up to date before submitting.
- Answer in whatever language you’re most comfortable writing in — English isn’t required. If we select your profile for publication, we’ll translate your answers and check the translation with you before it goes live.
