From the Mailbag – Postcard from Julie

Our Mail Bag blog posts feature letters and postcards that members send to us at LetterMo to share with the community. You can submit content to the Mail Bag by following the instructions at Mail-In Submissions.

Our latest mail-in entry to the LetterMo blog comes from Julie, who writes to us from Washington in the United States of America with a reflection on her home town and featuring a postcard that she illustrated herself.

Hi Adam,

I had to smile whie I realized how close you are to my little hometown. You may even passed there if you’ve ever made the trip to Seattle. I’m sending you one of my Lynden postcards so you can see a glimpse of the place I call home.

The fields, the mountain, the wide sky–they are stitched into who I am. I used to drive the milk truck pictured and the neighboring farmers still hold a very dear place in my heart. They truly are the hardest working people I know and with the biggest hearts.

Happy penning neighbor!

Best, Julie Stone.
