A collaborative blog post
Thank you to everyone who contributed to create this post!

I bought a typewriter as a way to shake things up in my letter-writing routine, and that has opened a whole new hobby! I’ve also gotten some fantastic book recommendations from my pen pals. Bonus: when I read the book that they recommended, it makes me that much more excited to write again and tell them what I thought of the book!
Fountains pens was something I started using when I heard other letter writers using them. This was about a year when I picked up letter writing during the pandemic, so back in 2021. Journaling with more creative styles is something else as many other letter writers mention doing so. The time line would be more in the past year (2025) for me as more journaling meetups are happening in my area.

Diamond painting. I don’t know if I would ever have tried it if a pen friend hadn’t told me about it.
THIS is what I blame my fountain pen obsession on! Which includes ink and writing papers cuz a pen is nothing without the others. It can be a spendy obsession. However–if you take into account what I could also be doing that I’m NOT– (if you do the math)…….I’m actually is saving us a whole lot of money. 😀
My spouse and I had a long distant relationship for almost 6 years which was a whole lot of back and forth and a whole lot of letter writing. I’m counting him as one of the things I discovered an “interest” in though the written word. 🙂
