A collaborative blog post

Thank you to everyone who contributed to make today’s post!

Yes! I do every year. I’m sure 2025 will be no different! Measi

Yes, unfortunately, my penpal does not write more than one page of a notepad (usually used for grocery list!) and she stopped answering my letter after only 5 letters to me.

I have added a few people. Hopefully the correspondences continue. – Fly46

I not only chose a potential pen pal, she also chose me! We wrote each other close to the same time, and we received each other’s letters close to the same time. It wasn’t until she told me that our letters crossed in the mail and she had chosen me to write to! What a coincidence!

In 2024 I started writing to an incarcerated young man. We have written for a year now and he thinks of me as an ‘aunty’.  – secondhandrose

Many lettermoians who contributed to these blog posts did so nearer the beginning of the month. As we come to the end of the month, we’d like to hear from you – did you find a new pen pal this month? Is there someone who just seems like a good fit for continued correspondence?

We look forward to these continuing connections, and seeing folks back here next year. Don’t forget, we on the admin board appreciate your input and efforts to keep this site running. I’ll be sending out a survey next week, so think about if you’d like to volunteer, what improvements you’d like to see, or any other thoughts you have about this experience. Also, if you’d like to contribute financially, click the “Shop” button and select “Donation,” or “LetterMo Membership” to receive an official membership card.

Happy 2025, y’all.
